Music Artwork

There are a good number of songs that don’t refresh the widget when I use the tap to reload action. But if I go into the app and hit reload, it shows the current song playing in the app, but still doesn’t update the Home Screen widget. It’s only on some songs. I don’t subscribe to Apple Music so all my files are synced locally. Also if I hide the artwork that is troubling, the widget refreshes and shows the other info for the song, but if I add the art back, it doesn’t update the info or artwork for that song. This happens on different music widgets as well. I even replaced the artwork for the song in iTunes and it still doesn’t work. Is this a bug or is there something I am doing wrong?
