HopToDesk - free remote desktop now supports Windows XP

**Occasionally we get users asking if HopToDesk works with Windows XP, the answer is now yes!**

We're excited to announce that we've now released a dedicated build of HopToDesk for Windows XP and are looking for user feedback.

This version runs on XP SP2/SP3, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2003. Both 32-bit and 64-bit of these systems is supported.

Because XP has such unique requirements, we have made the XP version a separate project from the main HopToDesk client and provided the source code on GitHub.

Here's what's included:

* 🔒 **End-to-end encryption** — Curve25519 key exchange + XSalsa20-Poly1305 authenticated encryption with Ed25519 signing * 🖥️ **Remote desktop control** — Low-latency screen sharing with keyboard and mouse input, multi-monitor support, and aspect ratio preservation * 📁 **File transfer** — Bidirectional file and folder transfer with progress tracking and directory browsing * 💬 **Chat** — Real-time text chat during sessions via a floating window * 📋 **Clipboard sync** — Automatic bidirectional clipboard sync with compression * 🌐 **Wake on LAN** — Send magic packets to wake sleeping machines on your network * 🔑 **Unattended access** — Set a permanent password for always-on access without user interaction * 🌍 **44 languages** — With runtime switching, no restart required

**Runs with minimal requirements:** Windows XP SP2 (32-bit/64-bit), low RAM and disk footprint, and no installation needed.

This is particularly useful for those of you supporting industrial equipment, kiosks, point-of-sale systems, or embedded hardware that's stuck on XP for the foreseeable future. As always, HopToDesk is completely free for personal and commercial use.

For any one interested, please check it out, all feedback is welcome.
