wondering

hey ya’ll hoping you owners can answer a few questions i have about the breed.

are wfts good family dogs? we have young children. i’d like for our next dog to be fun and playful. my husband and i got a yorkie 8 years ago. he does well with the kids but he’s a lap dog. he just lays around and doesn’t interact with anyone very much. we recently visited family out of state, and they had an amazing family dog. it left me longing for that, for our family. i’ve always wanted either a wft or a welsh terrier. but my priority is that the dog will be a good fit for us.

are they all extremely expensive? i’ve found one breeder locally that checks all the boxes, but they’re $2k. is that the going price?
