Can we talk about Geralt’s knee in the games?
So at the end of Time of Contempt we know that Geralt and Vilgefortz battle in which Geralt subsequently gets his leg shattered. From then on, his knee plagued him constantly in the books. He thought about it all the time, it almost got him killed a couple times, and in general affected his fighting ability. I know eventually Fringilla ends up using her magic while he is staying in Touissant to heal his leg as much as he can and it isn’t mentioned much in the books after that.
Then when we get to the first Witcher game, whenever Geralt encounters Barengar inside the catacombs at Lakeside he brings to Geralt’s attention that he has a critical defect when he is fighting which is exposing himself due to his knee still not being fully healed. Is this ever brought up again in The Witcher 2 or 3? I have 100% completed all the games and I can’t recall whether or not it is ever brought to his attention again in the later games. It seemed to be a pretty life altering injury even with magic healing.
