Wizardisms

While searching through my old master’s notes I’ve discovered the following list of wise sayings that has guided him throughout his life. Anyone else have similar axioms that guide your studies of the occult?

- Don’t squat with your Enchanted Spurs of Amphetamine Steed on.

- An apprentice has 10 important lessons their mistakes will teach them before they need to start handling objects with their feet.

- Beware of the eternally youthful in a profession where everyone is wizened and old.

- Don’t look a gift firedrake in the mouth.

- If your augury’s predictions are too good to be true, they likely are.

- The quickest way to double your spell components is to fold them over and put them back in your pocket.

- Never cast with a staff when a wand will do.

- The truth contained in your chained-up eldritch tomes *will* set them free eventually.

- Yesterday’s rival is today’s paperweight.
