Varicose veins

Anyone else surprised at the extent of their varicose veins as your legs get smaller? The varicose veins on my inner thighs are quite extensive. I thought the loose skin hanging and folding over itself on my thighs was bad enough... but these big blue bulgy veins are bananas. If you have skin removal on your legs do they slurp out those veins at the same time or do you need to go to the vascular surgeon separately? And would insurance cover any of it? At this time they do not hurt or itch... just adding a lot of texture where i don't want it to be.
