Where to find this hardware to make your own door/drawer pulls?
I bought a used bathroom vanity with pulls I don't like. Never expected to have a hard time replacing them. They are a very strange size and I haven't found a match so far. I could fill the holes and use a different size pull, but I know my match wouldn't be good because of the texture and color of the vanity. Can't find an escutcheon/back plate that's big enough to cover both holes.
These pulls I posted pictures of are all over etsy, using stained dowels, so I know the hardware is out there to make a custom size. I just can't seem to find it. Rockler has a "turn your own handle" type kit, but the metal is only available in one color. I need chrome and I'm sure many of you have known the waste of time it is to try and use chrome spray paint on anything.
I don't know what this hardware is called. One pull/knob site I found had something similar only very ornate versions, actually bejeweled and carved. That site called them center braces, but I've tried searching all kinds of variations of that term and I'm getting nowhere.
Have tried places like Lee Valley, Outwater, VanDykes and most of the big online pull/knob sites.
