Walnut and cherry bench

I put this together over the last couple of months. I made the side table as a warm up for my joinery skills. It’s funny because you can see where I started to where I ended by the quality of the joints. I’m pretty pleased with the end result but it is far from perfect. It’s all mortise and tenon joinery with square head dowels pining them. I did bread ends for the seat like people often suggest here. All the joinery I did with hand tools besides getting the mortise started with a drill. I went from taking two hours per mortise and tenon to half an hour and they even came out better! It was by far my most complex design and when I first drew it out in sketch up I didn’t think it would work. But, it’s sturdy and comfortable, so I’m happy. Thank you to everyone here, you folk are inspirations!
