Can't remember a word

I'm sorry if this doesnt make sense, or is badly worded, Im kind of stupid and I have a learning disability. I need help trying to find a word, and it's bothering me that I can't remember it. I don't really know what the word means, but I think it has do with personality traits or a quality a person can have. I think it means positive or proactive, or maybe it means the opposite? I think it starts with the letter "A" or "AG" I think it has 3 or 4 syllables, but I could be wrong. Please and thank you for any help.
