Working Moms with a SAHP

I really value the feedback from this group so coming to you with a question: if you have a SAHP, what age did you start preschool?

I have a 26 month old who will turn 3 next summer and I’m unsure of when the best time is to start preschool. Should we transition at 3 or hold off until 4? I feel like there’s plenty of social benefits to starting sooner rather than later but I also like the idea of deferring cost another year and taking advantage of the privilege we have with our toddler being home with my partner.

Would love to hear your pros and cons! I don’t have anyone irl to discuss with as all my friends have had children in daycare from the time they returned to work through starting pre-k.
