Actual Progress

I lifted in high school for sports and again around the time I was 26. Got back into lifting about a year ago and my progress has been pretty good. I started at about 20% body fat, started lifting with high intensity and then did a cut in March and got down to a little less than 10% body fat by July. I do a daily weigh in the morning and use AI with photos to help gauge where I am. Since it's the fall I planned on bulking to gain more muscle, when I checked with AI on what I can expect for muscle progress over the next 6 months the AI advised against bulking as I would just cut again next spring. Basically, it says I can expect to actually gain about 2 pounds of muscle over the next 6 months, which I feel is low. It says even though I am in the late intermediate stage of lifting, my body looks like it's advanced (given the looks I receive in the gym it may be right) and that I won't be able to gain the 6 pounds of muscle as I expect.

Any thoughts/ advice on this?

I do a 3 day split, push, pull and the full body with a focus on legs on that 3rd day. Typically I eat at maintenance and consume about 180-200 grams of protein a day. I am 5'11, 168 pounds, I just turned 40 and have been staying around 10% bodyfat. For reference I recently benched 180 pounds 8 reps for 3 set. My main goal is hypertrophy.
