My alt history world
This is the first draft as well as the first map i do of this world so is not well developed yet and can change and most definetly will change in the future. But any question feel free to ask.
In 70 bc, in the unknown continent that would be known as vinland, very very down to the south in the middle of the patagonia, something fell from the skies, something a lot of tribed saw and driven by curiosity most of those tribes decided to search for this thing and when they finally found it, they discovered a spaceship, very very damaged and split in two. But even tho the damaged alien vessel was weird, unknown and somewhat intimidating, several of the first explorers ventured inside the vessel, but instead of finding danger or knowlegde, they found babies, dozens over dozens of alien babies, some of them awake and crying by the crash.
And even though these creatures were vastly different from humans as they had 4 arms, skin the same color of the skies, 4 red eyes and a mouth resembeling some kind of insect or snake. The explorers felt fear but mostly empathy, they saw the inocence behind their eyes, they saw an inocent creature in distress and some of them decided to take them into their arms and for everyone surprise the alien children calmed down, wich only make the explorers to feel more conected to them.
Most of the explorers go back to their tribes with their discoveries, some rejected the idea that this creatures were somewhat human, others saw them as gods or some kind of divine creatures, others saw them as monsters. Many were expeled of their tribes for defending those creatures and in other cases whole tribes decided to move to the crash site to see the babies but most importantly care for them.
From then on a new powerfull civilization was formed, the idea of the children of the stars to be gods or divine was put aside with time as the children grew and were educated like humans and so they were like humans, and with time even hybrinds were born. The acceptance of this aliens and the sole existance of this tribe and their prosperity was a huge change on the continent and the world. This people developed a philosophy based on the acceptance of other cultures, peoples and ideas. After all if they accepted the children of the stars why they wouldnt accept the children of the land.
They grew and thrive in assimlation, trade an alliances as well as the rest of the continent, as they studied the old vessel they ended up developing all kinds of technology, they had an agricultural revolution, a big population boom, new construction tecniques and ideas, new weapons and tactics, better understanding of the human and alien body. So when the old world discovered this continent they found just a few steps behind them in tech, more organizated and more powerfull societies.
