Introduction into "the Void"
>“How do you live, if living is the problem?”
**For context:** The Void is my newest universe and narrative, and I wanted to create a brief introduction to it for reference when I eventually create more stuff for it.
# The actual contents:
# The Void as a place:
The Void is three angularly spherical dimensions of clustered debris and surrealistic biomes existing within the same space but on different planes, where gravity is selective and pulls you to surfaces instead of centers (making downwards completely arbitrary), isolated from the rest of the universe.

The inhabitants of the Void can jump between these dimensions (i.e., planes), but must be careful not to jump into a solid on the other side.
"Falling" off the "edge" of a universe will put you in another dimension where gravity pulls you back. If there does not exist a space in either of the two other dimensions where you’ll be pulled back, you’ll instead be transported into a pocketdimension most likely inhabited by a **Sculptor** – pretty much to be considered doomed for all eternity or missing at best

# The Void as a Ruleset (The Metaphysics & Power System)
1. Death waits — people cannot die as people (You must *Corrupt* beyond a certain threshold of humanity for your mortality to register.) 2. Power within the world comes either from tools or *Corruption* 3. Corruption — people within the setting slowly transform, gaining characteristics (e.g., half a face turned into a construction made of wooden beams supporting a gold bell, additional limbs, wings, etc.). Those who corrupt beyond their humanity become *Sculptors* — Immensely powerful, eldritch, god-like beings 4. New people pop up with no memory of parents or origin. It's as though you suddenly gain consciousness at fourteen, standing somewhere amidst the clouds, baffled as to how you survived till today 5. Time doesn’t really exist; it still passes, but lacks a universal measurement — You might grow old, you might not. 6. There’s no way anyone from before the Void is still alive – Characters within the world are not even humans, but an "off" species. "Earth" is an old legend

# The Void as a Story
The story would follow BellToll — a mercenary set on finding meaning — living at the eternally ending, end of times.
Her story would aim to explore the themes of:
* How do you live, if living is the problem? * It’s a shame to live (because it is always too late to die) — Schopenhauer's philosophy * Meaninglessness shapes the world; nothing you ever do matters or ever will * Distrust in anyone who claims to be sure * No beauty in suffering * What are people? * Every major religion and even science expects the universe to end — what if an apocalypse never comes?
