The Valdrakken Ghost Flood (or how I learned that I could swim in money)

Well, this was odd.

In the Valdrakken main bank, I walked in. As soon as I would go past the stairs closest to the banking NPCs tonight, I got a breath bar like I was swimming. And it was ticking down. Then I saw the fresh corpse and several skeletons on the ground.

And then I noticed that the game lets druids go into aquatic form here.

No debuffs, no special buffs, no toys in the bank beyond some signs. Just death for non druids and non warlocks and a fun time for my fellow druid friend that I ran into. It was pretty great seeing my dolphin flipping gold on the ground and hopping around.

Can anybody explain what is going on here? Or is this just a great example of spaghetti code in action?
