Level 50 gear for Dragonflight

So I thought the gear upgrade was tied to having TWW. Just coming back off a long break and the Auction House doesn't have anything cost effective or mostly nothing for my level. Is there a way to get adequate gear to venture into Dragonflight? Just returning back and I already messed up and am lost :P
