Time for me to uninstall the CurseForge client

This isn't an Overwolf is worse than Facebook post.

I have been running the stand-alone client (no Overwolf launcher) for some months. I just open it once a day before logging in to update what needs to be done. It worked OK for my needs. The ads were there but easy to ignore.

For some time I could see the addons to be updated greyed out while it pretended to refresh, supposedly to make me watch the ads. It only took a minute, so no big deal. However it now doesn't stop - still going after 16 minutes. It might be a temporary bug, but it feels like a deal breaker.

What is the consensus on the best replacement?
