I got two free Hardrocks! Which should I fix/keep?

Hi, again! I actually need to sell my [Giant Sedona](https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/comments/i8qdsq/this_sub_inspired_me_to_fix_up_this_giant_sedona/) that you all helped me with (it's a bit too big, ouch). But to make up for it, I got *two* free Hardrocks (an older black one [like this](https://www.reddit.com/r/xbiking/comments/i0nja6/any_idea_on_year_for_this_hardrock/) and a newer forest green one [like this](https://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2000&Brand=Specialized&Model=Hardrock&Type=bike), actual pics in the table below) that both fit me better. Which one of these should I keep to ride? I think I can put most of the usable parts on either Hardrock, even though they're very different years.

|Newer Dark Green Hardrock ([actual photo](https://ibb.co/bJX4v2m))|Older Black Hardrock ([actual photo](https://ibb.co/G5g3vck))| |:-|:-| |\* Top tube has a fair amount of rust (bubbly in some parts and paint is chipped off), but frame is in otherwise good condition.|\* The frame looks a bit like shit, but doesn't seem rusty.| |\* Has a more modern stem|\* Has that older quill stem from older MTBs, seems fine.| |\* V-Brakes|\* Cantis| |\* ~~Largest, front chain ring has some uneven wear~~ I think the chainring teeth are variable for better shifting|\* Chain has been absolutely rusted. can't test rear derailleur right now| |\* Wheels seem to be fine! the rubber looks good and tubes hold air. They're Weinmann 519 rims, which seem worse than the Araya rims I have on the Sedona.|\* Rear wheel is bent out ta shit and the woven tire walls are frayed and shot.| |\* 7 speed cassette|\* 7 speed cassette|

Any opinions would be appreciated. I have some bad pics I can attach, but thank you for your opinions on my free Hardrocks :D
