2016/17 Waxless Skis
Winter is just starting now here in Norway, the sports shops are filling up with new seasons equipment.
I've seen a lot of waxless skis out now though, compared with in the past. They were seemingly always just for beginners / intermediate but certainly not the full on racesuited cyborg machines who race past me out in the woods.
Some of them now are very strongly priced suggesting they're for serious use.
Question is, has waxless technology moved on recently and something to take more seriously ?
I bought a decent set of (wax) Fischer skis last year I don't need to replace, but the idea is tempting.
We're a few years off having an indoor facility very close by too, the idea of minimal preparation in summer and going for a quick ski is appealing.
