Automatic comment moderation makes the platform almost unusable for discussion

Is anyone else having the problem lately that Youtube is automatically and silently deleting their comments, even ones that don't violate the ToS?

I've written long comments to several replies lately. When I return to the thread, they are simply gone with no notice whatsoever as to why they were deleted. These are not comments that include name-calling, controversial statements or really anything that should result in them being removed. And yet I see other comments that do look like they should be taken down and aren't.

I find this situation incredibly annoying and disconcerting to the point that I am just not going to be leaving anymore long comments on the platform. In my opinion, the commenting feature has become almost completely unusable due to whatever (dumb) algorithm they are using here to moderate. I don't ever remember it being this bad before.

I find this kind of overly aggressive moderation pretty incongruous with the fact that YT allows a wide range of often controversial content to be posted. Yet their automated filter is so overtuned to the point that it's almost impossible to write more than a few sentences with the comment being deleted. It's ridiculous.
