Can youtube-dl download only mp4 files at 1080 or lower?

Is it possible to have youtube-dl download only mp4 versions of files while specifying it needs to be no higher than 1080? I'm only interested in 1080 or less, I noticed when using `-f bestvideo[ext=mp4]+bestaudio[ext=m4a]/best`I get higher resolutions like 2160, which is creating bigger files than I would like. I can't figure out how to incorporate `height<=1080`AND `ext=mp4`. I don't really care about the audio format, I just figured mp4 and m4a were easier to merge with ffmpeg

I tried something like `bestvideo[(ext=mp4),(height<=1080)]+bestaudio[ext=m4a]/best` but it fails to run, I'm sure my syntax is botched. Or if its not possible to download the video this way, would it be possible to get the best mkv/webm up to 1080, then ffmpeg into a mp4?

EDIT: Seems like `-f bestvideo[ext=mp4][height<=?1080]+bestaudio[ext=m4a]/best` is the combination I was looking for, thanks for providing assistance
